The importance of Organization

One of the least common traits seen in young people today is organization. The reasoning behind this is most kids think they don’t need to organize because they can just “wing it”. And maybe that’s gotten them somewhere so far, but I doubt that it’ll work forever. I know this because I used to just “wing it” as well. For the longest time it was working for me because I didn’t have that much to worry about to have to make a schedule and organize my time. Now though, I have way more to keep track of and I must be able to organize it all to be able to perform my best in every aspect of what I do. I make sure to organize my schoolwork, jobs, and free time to be able to perform well in all of them and to not be surprised when something comes up. Having organization is crucial to success as it sets a plan to succeed. As Ben Franklin said, if you don’t have a plan then you're planning to fail. Organization has also helped me out a lot while balancing three jobs, school and free time. I must be able to plan guitar lessons, driving time and homework all in one day and if I didn’t have organization then I’d probably be screwed. Therefore, organization is one of the most important traits of an individual.
